Hot times in Texas
I keep saying we can't complain about triple-digit heat because we chose to be here. In fact, it's pretty easy not to complain when you get to go with Griffin to Bubblepalooza in the morning ...

Birthday Week Continued
Since it was Jackson's birthday week, why not more pictures?
Griffin traveled from hot Texas to cool Missouri. Did he forget to bring his cool weather gear?
Jackson tries out the sprinkler pool and seems to like it!
J and G deciding what to do next.
And I made Jackson his own wooden state of MO birthday flag.

Jackson's Birthday Week
We flew to St. Louis to be there for Jackson's first birthday. Well, as you know in our family birthdays are a week long, if not longer, celebration ... so this was no different. Melissa and Jake invited friends over for Jackson's first, Jake's 30th and a house warming party to boot. Jackson got the seat of honor, and a special bib from Nana Liz, as he listened to everyone sing Happy Birthday.
Griffin enjoyed the water as well and we all liked the temperatures in the high 70's which was a relief from the Texas heat.
But I must say the boys most liked playing together on the air mattress in the playroom.
The birthday boy got another cake on his actual birthday. Happy first birthday Jackson Wyatt!
Meg and Griffin arrived for the festivities the day before and got Jackson a water play station.
I made a whale for Jackson's bedroom from a piece of old lumber. The mouth was made from an old railroad track. The tail was made from a Virginia tag on Melissa's old Honda. DB-317 ... let's see Date of Birth ... 31 last day of ... July 7. That works. Oh, and the expiration date on the tag? June of 08. Just happens to be Melissa and Jake's anniversary.
