As I was working out front I came across the first wildflower of the season. Your mom (YM) identified it as a two-flower anemone. Since the rainfall has been above average the past few months perhaps we will have a good wildflower season.

Continued to clear the front of the yard today. I'm hoping to plant wildflower seeds in bare spots in hopes the turkeys do not eat the seeds. They seem to have a sense when the ground has been disturbed...disturbing!

Of course, if we time it right, the turkeys will be busy on their nests while our seeds are germinating. Besides, your dad (YD) has hedged his bets by starting some bluebonnet seeds inside, so they'll be past the turkey food stage by the time they're planted.
